Dr. Andrea Tömösvári
“I believe that the law should help you, not hold you back!”
Dr. Andrea Tömösvári is the founding attorney of dr. Tömösvári Law Firm.
She completed her legal studies at Pázmány Péter Catholic University in 2003, and went on to obtain a lawyer-economist qualification through the postgraduate lawyer-economist programme at Corvinus University of Budapest. After the law-office practice that preceded her bar examination, she worked for years on the corporate side in a role supporting the work of management, which gave her the opportunity to gain insight into and understand companies’ internal operations.
The experience gained there has greatly contributed to the fact that today, as a lawyer, she sees the “full picture” and is able to support her corporate clients effectively — not only in resolving their immediate problems, but also in achieving their long-term business goals.
In her work, ensuring companies’ legal compliance — and within that, corporate law and employment law — is closest to her heart. She believes that a company’s operations must be viewed in all their complexity, meaning that employment law, HR-related and corporate law questions must be handled together.
Her goal is to use the law as a preventive tool in her legal work, so that her advice saves clients time, money and numerous inconveniences. She also believes in the power of communication, through which, in her view, many legal problems become resolvable.
Dr. Fanni Jakab
Dr. Fanni Jakab is an attorney who completed her legal studies at Pázmány Péter Catholic University, and her goal is to provide her clients with clear, transparent and reliable legal solutions. Following her bar examination, she has primarily deepened her professional knowledge and gained practical experience in the fields of family law, inheritance law, the law of business associations, and the law of civil-society organisations.
She also regularly handles matters relating to defective performance, in which she assists her clients not only with advice and the drafting of deeds, but also with legal representation in litigation. She is convinced that the basis of successful legal representation is trust, clear communication and thorough preparation; she therefore guides her clients through the legal processes, always keeping in mind the specific features of the case and the objective to be achieved. In her work she strives to see the person behind every case and to provide solutions that are not only legally well-founded but also serve the client’s interests to the fullest possible extent.
Nóra Bácskai
Nóra Bácskai is a data protection expert and project manager who has led data protection, HR and IT projects at several multinational companies and Hungarian SMEs. She obtained a data security and data protection specialist qualification at the Institute of Postgraduate Legal Studies of ELTE, and learned the provisions of the GDPR first-hand in Maastricht, at the data protection training of the European Institute of Public Affairs (EIPA).
In line with our firm’s guiding principle, she believes that through conscious thinking and prevention a company can spare itself numerous inconveniences. She considers it important that the GDPR should not be regarded merely as an additional burden imposed on companies. Rather, it should be seen as an opportunity — one that creates scope not only for making data processing operations transparent and simpler, but also for modernising other internal processes that are often needlessly over-administered, which in most cases can lead to cost efficiency. She believes that data protection questions must be viewed holistically and that solutions must be found, in cooperation with clients, that are not confined merely to the “letter” of the Regulation but also offer an innovative response.
